The Happy Camp to Coon Creek section of Klamath River in California is 18 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III+(IV) section. This river system is full of great paddling sections, the Happy Camp to Coon Creek section is just one of them. you're paddling down a Klamath Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. You can enjoy this stretch more if you take your time, so why not pack your camping stuff too. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is
an area with plenty of spots for that. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
