  This stretch of Klamath River in Siskiyou County is 18 miles long and has been rated as a class III+(IV) section by American Whitewater. The average California whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are less forgiving. The nature scenery of California and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature have people
    coming from far and near. Whitewater paddling here in the Klamath Mountains is a great experience. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling spots. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to
get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. There are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the Happy Camp to Coon Creek stretch is just one of many. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby.

here at Klamath River. High temperatures at Klamath River through the months of summer are in the 90's. During the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Klamath River.
So many amusing things to do here in the Klamath Mountains, too great to be true. Klamath River is a wet place that gets a large amount of rainfall; December is the wettest month with most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month.
