The beautiful scenery of Siskiyou County and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. The beauty of the Klamath Mountains is a great plus for this river. Getting some good exercise and spending     some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. The Coon Creek to Ishi Pishi Falls stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. The campgrounds here at Klamath River are pretty good. Briefly about the general area: During the warm days of summer highs here at Klamath River get into the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's; night lows   in the 30's for Klamath River. Ti Bar is a magnificent place to look at. Klamath River is a quite wet place generally with much rain; the month with most of the rain is December; July is when it's the driest.
