This stretch of Klamath River is 22 miles long and is a class II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The wonderful Siskiyou County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Klamath River beats anything. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. A good workout and a chance to spend some     time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Coon Creek to Ishi Pishi Falls section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Briefly about the general area: At Klamath River through the summertime highs are in the 90's while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Klamath River dipping down into the   30's during winter nights.
