This section of Klamath River is 36 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II section. The starting point is not too far from Crescent City North, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The nature scenery of Humboldt County and the playfulness of the water beats anything. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. this area has a large number of paddling places. There's camping available near Klamath River. The Coast Ranges scenery is wonderful. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. A stretch this long is of course too much for a one day trip,
so it looks like you will be camping out. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
