Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in California tend to be more challenging than the national average, so don't forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Fresno, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. out with mother nature are great reasons to come. The Sycamore Road to Sycamore Creek stretch of Little Dry Creek is 4 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV-V section. There are no other stretches to paddle along Little Dry Creek than the Sycamore Road to
Sycamore Creek stretch. The beautiful Central Sierra Nevada scenery is an added bonus. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.

in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's with temperatures at Little Dry Creek dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. Going for a hike along the Bobs Flat Trail will let you absorb
the natural beauty of this neighborhood; if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Deep Creek Trail. At Little Dry Creek you don’t see much rain; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July.
