This stretch of Little Sur River in California is 7 miles long and is a class III-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. This stretch is mid length, suitable for an afternoon trip. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good rivers for that around here. Little Sur River doesn't have a lot of paddling sections,     the Pico Blanco B South Carolina to Highway 1 section is the only one. The beauty of the Santa Lucia Range is a great plus for this river. The campgrounds here at Little Sur River are pretty good. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in California are harder than the national norm, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are less forgiving.
