The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The Mark     West Lodge to Mark West Road stretch is the only paddling stretch along Mark West Creek. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came.
