The beautiful scenery of California and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. Now this is a pretty long section, perfect for a real wilderness adventure. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in California is often tougher than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here
do keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. The wild scenery of the Northern Sierra Nevada is great. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
