The St. Helena to Napa section of Napa River is 18 miles long and it is classified as a class III section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in California tend to be more challenging than the national average, so keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so pack your camp stove. There's camping available near Napa River. There are some     good hotels near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more.
