The St. Helena to Napa stretch of Napa River in California is 18 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III section of whitewater. The scenic beauty of Napa County and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. You can enjoy this stretch more if you take your time, so pack your
camping stuff. The starting point is not too far from Napa, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you won't find many other paddling rivers. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but
if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There are no other stretches to paddle along Napa River than the St. Helena to Napa stretch. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more.
