Briefly about the general area: Near New River you find tremendous sites like Dry Gulch. Summertime highs at New River usually tend to be in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 50's. During the winter highs are ordinarily in the 50's, and night lows in the 30's for New River. A lot of precipitation falls at New River; most of the rain falls during December, and the driest month of the year is July.
