The nature
scenery of Placer/ El Dorado County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The put-in location is a short drive from Truckee-Grass Valley, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. You can enjoy
this stretch more if you take your time, so why not pack your camp stove too. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
