This river system is full of great paddling sections, the Box Canyon Dam to Dunsmuir section is just one of them. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Sacramento River temperatures sink to the 20's.
