If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside California you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. This stretch is mid length, suitable for an afternoon trip. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons     to come. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling rivers. The beautiful Klamath Mountains scenery is an added bonus. The campgrounds here at Salmon River - South Fork are pretty good. The natural beauty of Siskiyou County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. A magnificent spot close to Salmon River - South Fork is Butcher Gulch,   and Limestone Bluffs is a good place to stop by while in the area. At Salmon River - South Fork throughout the summertime months highs are in the 90's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's.
