| day trip. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Briefly about the general area: Here at San Joaquin
River you'll most likely meet some people from Big Creek; a trip to Sierra National Forest is a tremendous idea. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Head up to Sierra Summit and strap some
skis to your feet, and the Red Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best. This is such a great river. All through the warm days of summer, highs regularly are in the 80's at San Joaquin River while overnight lows are frequently in the 40's.
