This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your camp stove too. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Bridge over Piute Creek to Florence Lake stretch is one of them. Not
too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is wonderful. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in California tend to be more challenging than the
national average, so better not forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The natural beauty of Fresno/ Madera County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile.
