This section of San Lorenzo River in California is 9.1 miles long and has been rated as a class II section by American Whitewater. The wonderful California scenery and the water flowing gracefully down San Lorenzo River will make you feel great. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with not too many other places for that. When you're paddling down a Santa Cruz Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There are some
good hotels near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This stretch has has enough mileage, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The Boulder Creek to Felton stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. The put-in

Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in California is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere.
