This section of San Lorenzo River in California is 9.1 miles long and has been rated as a class II section by American Whitewater. No need to look hard for hotels, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. On this section you do get some distance,
it's perfect for a one day trip. The Boulder Creek to Felton section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in California is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the sections
here are not safe for beginners. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. When you're paddling down a Santa Cruz Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you won't find many other paddling places.
