The Canyon Entrance Close to Meamber Creek to Klamath Confluence stretch of Scott River in California is 22 miles long and it is classified as a class II-V section by American Whitewater. The wonderful Siskiyou County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Scott River have people coming here. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. The
nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. This is the only paddling stretch along Scott River.
When you're paddling down a Klamath Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in California are often tougher than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners.
