  The Canyon Entrance Close to Meamber Creek to Klamath Confluence stretch of Scott River in Siskiyou County is 22 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-V section. The scenic beauty of California and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average,
    so better not forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The wild scenery of the Klamath Mountains is great. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. Scott River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the
Canyon Entrance Close to Meamber Creek to Klamath Confluence stretch is the only one. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby.

A lot of rainfall falls at Scott River; during the month
 
of December you get the most rain around here, and July is the month with the least moisture. Scott River is in close proximity to Swanson Gulch which is undeniably worth checking out.
For the duration of the long summer days, highs commonly are in the 90's at Scott River. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows all through the wintertime for Scott River tend to be in the 30's.
