This section of Stanislaus River - Middle Fork in Tuolumne County     is 13 miles long and has been rated as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is wonderful. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of places for that. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so pack your camp stove. The natural beauty of Tuolumne County and the playfulness of the water beats anything. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. At Stanislaus River - Middle Fork through the warm days of summer highs are in the 60's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's with temperatures at Stanislaus River - Middle Fork dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.
