If you're coming from Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The beautiful scenery of Calaveras/ Tuolumne County and the water flowing gracefully down Stanislaus River - North Fork will make you feel great. This is a pretty short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have
