Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so better not forget that many runs in this state are not easy. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots for that. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The     wild scenery of the Central Sierra Nevada is great. This stretch of Sycamore Creek is 3 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV(V) section by American Whitewater. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Maxson Road to Trimmer Springs Road section is one of them. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. This is a pretty short section so no need to bring snacks. Briefly about the general area: Going for a hike on the Bobs Flat Trail is always a good adventure, and you can go for a hike on the Deep Creek Trail. It is very waterless here at Sycamore Creek commonly; January is the wettest month with most rain, and July is when it's the driest. At Sycamore Creek throughout the warm months highs are in the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's   commonly in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Sycamore Creek. Having a brilliant time in the Central Sierra Nevada is simple.
