If you're coming from Ukiah it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The wonderful Mendocino County scenery and the beautiful way the water current     moves down the stream attract people from near and far. There are no other sections to paddle along Tenmile Creek than the Gauge on Highway 101 to South Fork Eel section. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so don't forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. On this section you do get some distance, suitable for an afternoon trip.
