The beauty of     the Coast Ranges is a great plus for this river. Tenmile Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Gauge on Highway 101 to South Fork Eel section is the only one. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in California is often tougher than elsewhere, so better not forget that rivers here are less forgiving. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This stretch has has enough mileage, suitable for an afternoon trip.
