This section of Tomki Creek in Mendocino County is 9.3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III section. This is the only paddling stretch along Tomki Creek. The scenic beauty of Mendocino County and the water flowing gracefully down Tomki Creek are reasons enough to come here and paddle. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot     of people coming here. The river winds through the Coast Ranges and you get great scenery. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here. The put-in location is a short drive from Ukiah, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's perfect for a one day trip. The campgrounds here at Tomki Creek are pretty good.
