The Klamath Mountains scenery is wonderful. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. There's camping available near Trinity River. The Lewiston to Junction City stretch of Trinity River is 30.3 miles long and has been rated as a class II section by American Whitewater.     There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. A section like this is is of course not run in a single day, perfect for a real wilderness adventure. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. Briefly about the general area: The yearly rain here at Trinity River is about average; December is the month that gets the most rain, and July is when it's the driest.
