The Lewiston to Junction City stretch of Trinity River is 30.3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II section. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in California is often more difficult than elsewhere, so better not forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The beautiful Klamath Mountains scenery is an added bonus. There are so many sections to paddle in this river system, the     Lewiston to Junction City section is just one of many. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. A stretch of this length does require some preparations, so better bring your camping gear along. Briefly about the general area: A common amount of precipitation falls here at Trinity River; most of the rain falls during December; July meanwhile is the driest month. A spree to Lance Gulch is always fun, and a visit to Shasta Spring will fill your soul with glorious feelings. At Trinity River all through   the warm months highs are in the 90's. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 40's with temperatures at Trinity River dipping down into the 30's all through winter nights.
