  This stretch of Trinity River in California is 23.6 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in California tend to be more challenging than the national average, so don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. The scenic beauty of Trinity County and the water flowing gracefully down Trinity River have people coming here. Whitewater paddling here in the Klamath Mountains is a great experience. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large
    number of paddling places. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular
destination. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too.

Trinity River mostly gets lots of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is frequently December, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is July. High temperatures at Trinity River through the long summer days are in the 90's. For the
 
period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 40's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Trinity River temperatures plunge to the 30's.
