The wonderful California scenery and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. When you're paddling down a Klamath Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. This stretch of Trinity River in Trinity County is 13.6 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. No matter if you're whitewater rafting     or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. You can enjoy this stretch more if you take your time, so why not pack your camp stove too. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. Briefly about the general area: Since you're here at Trinity River why not stop at Cold Valley. All through the long summer days, highs regularly are in the 80's at Trinity River while nighttime lows are generally in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and nighttime   lows all through the winter for Trinity River tend to be in the 20's. Not much precipitation falls here at Trinity River; December is the wettest month with most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture.
