This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This is one of a small number
of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. When you're paddling down a Central Sierra Nevada river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here
more demanding, so better not forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
