The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in California are often more challenging than in other states, so don't forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. The Highway 395 Bridge to Walker section of West Walker River in California is 11 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-V section. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other places
    for that. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your camp stove too. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular
destination. The Highway 395 Bridge to Walker section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. The beauty of the Central Sierra Nevada is a great plus for this river. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more.
