You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is a somewhat short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Briefly about the general area: Summertime highs at West Walker River generally tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are ordinarily in the 40's while the   cold winter nights at West Walker River are in the 20's. It is very dried out here at West Walker River typically; through January this area sees the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. A short visit to Silver Falls is always worthwhile; there's magnificent hiking along the Early Emigrant and Indian Trail.
