  The scenic beauty of Madera County and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Madera, as you can see on the road map further down. The Chilkoot Campground to Bass Lake stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. The Chilkoot Campground to Bass Lake stretch of Willow Creek in Madera County is 3 miles long and it is classified as a class V section by American Whitewater. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem
    but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. This stretch is short so no need to bring snacks. The
wild scenery of the Central Sierra Nevada is great. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside California you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so better not forget that many runs in this state are not easy. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp.

High temperatures at Willow Creek throughout the summertime are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's.
 
For the period of the winter the highs are commonly in the 40's with temperatures at Willow Creek dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. You just should go for the Central Sierra Nevada. What would a site like Willow Creek be without attention-grabbing close by characteristics like Slick Rock, and Angle Falls is an inspiring location to have a look at while you're here.
From a rainfall point of view Willow Creek is a reasonably normal location; the month with most of the rain is January; July is the month with the least moisture. This river is always fun. A tour to Willow Cove near Willow Creek is always a nice idea, and a visit to Willow Creek wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Devils Slide.
