This stretch of Yosemite Creek in California is 8 miles long and it is classified as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. Yosemite Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Tioga Pass Road to Yosemite Falls stretch is the only one. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. lots of good places for that around here. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. The natural beauty of California and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come
here to paddle. When you're paddling down a Central Sierra Nevada river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. This stretch has has enough mileage, you can easily run it on an afternoon. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
