This stretch of Yuba River in Yuba/ Nevada County is 7.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV-V section. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for
lots of people. When you're paddling down a Northern Sierra Nevada river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. This stretch has has enough mileage, you can easily run it on an afternoon. If you're coming from Yuba City-Marysville it's not a long drive at
all to the put-in location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The beautiful scenery of California and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good places for that around here. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well.

Rolleys Point is near Yuba River and is a great location to go to, and Chute Ravine is another great place to check out close by. Yuba River gets lots of water; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of
precipitation. During the warmest time of the year here at Yuba River, high temperatures usually reach the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Yuba River.
