The beautiful scenery of Yuba/ Nevada County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The average California whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so better not forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The North and Middle Fork confluence to Englebright Reservoir section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you
came. The North and Middle Fork confluence to Englebright Reservoir stretch of Yuba River in California is 7.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV-V section. The campgrounds here at Yuba River are pretty good. This is a pretty decent length
section, it's good length for a morning trip. The put-in is not too far from Yuba City-Marysville, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The beauty of the Northern Sierra Nevada is a great plus for this river. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers.

Yuba River during the summer months are in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's while Yuba River night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's. You are near Rolleys Point if you're here at
Yuba River, and Chute Ravine is close by, and is a pleasant spot. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Sierra Nevada. Yuba River sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is frequently January, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is July.
