No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling places. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The scenic beauty of California and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. There are plenty of other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Briefly about the general area: During the summertime months at Yuba River - North Fork highs are typically in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's.   The winter brings highs down to the 40's; overnight lows during the winter for Yuba River - North Fork tend to be in the 20's.
