  If you're coming from Yuba City-Marysville it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in California are harder than the national norm, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The Bullards Bar Dam to Middle Fork Yuba stretch of Yuba River - North Fork in California is 2.3 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class V section of whitewater. Getting some good exercise and
    just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Bullards Bar Dam to Middle Fork Yuba stretch is just one of them. The beauty of the Northern Sierra Nevada is a great plus for this river.
This is a pretty short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The nature scenery of Yuba County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far.

Since you're here at Yuba River - North Fork why not go to Marys Ravine; if you want to have a look at some interesting stuff, have a look at Rocky Point. All the water falling down from the sky makes Yuba River - North Fork a wet place; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain; July is the month with the least moisture.
And if that's not enough there's lots more exciting stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Klensendorf Point is in the vicinity and always good to stop by. Summertime at Yuba River - North Fork arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while Yuba River - North Fork overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 20's.
