To get to the putin, take Tyler Foote Road east from 49, take a right on Murphy road, then another right at when you get to Purdon Road. After 1.5 miles on Purdon Road you get to the river, that's where you put in. Says

rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. The beautiful scenery of Nevada County and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. This stretch has has enough mileage, suitable for an afternoon trip. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is wonderful. No need to look hard for hotels, but you'd better reserve in advance because these
hotels fill up quick.
