The put-in is not too far from Yuba City-Marysville, as you can see on the road map further down. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This is a pretty     decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. The campgrounds here at Yuba River - South Fork are pretty good. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in California is often more difficult than elsewhere, so don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. There are so many sections to paddle in this river system, the Route 49 to Bridgeport section is just one of many. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is wonderful. The beautiful scenery of California and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great.
