The nature scenery of Boulder County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Colorado is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The Front Range scenery is wonderful. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping
in your car. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter,
in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. This section of Boulder Creek in Boulder County is 2.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class V section of whitewater. This is a short paddling stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times.
