If you're coming from Boulder it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. This stretch of Boulder Creek - North in Colorado is 2.25 miles long and it is classified as a class V+ section by American Whitewater. The scenic beauty of Colorado and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. This is a somewhat short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. There are campgrounds quite near
the river where you can camp. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than
in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The beauty of the Front Range is a great plus for this river.
