This section of Boulder Creek - South is 6 miles long and has been rated as a class IV section by American Whitewater. This stretch is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. Whitewater paddling here in the Front Range is a great experience.
The starting location is a reasonable drive from Boulder, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. There are some good hotels near the river, but
if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The Rollinsville to Pinecliffe section is one of many paddling sections in this river system.
