The nature scenery of Boulder County and the water flowing gracefully down Boulder Creek - South attract people from near and far. The starting point is not too far from Boulder, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The beautiful Front Range scenery is an added bonus. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This stretch is mid length, suitable for an afternoon trip. There are
plenty of other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming
back for more. The average Colorado whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. other hand is the driest. The Mount Thorodin Trail is a tremendous hiking trail next to Boulder Creek - South; Burns Gulch is another nice spot to visit close by. Summertime at Boulder Creek - South arrives with high temperatures in the 70's while night lows are frequently
in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Boulder Creek - South dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. This spot, the Front Range, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. If the weather is magnificent here at Boulder Creek - South, you can go for a hike along the Bolling Gulch Trail.
