This stretch of Boulder Creek - South in Colorado is 7.2 miles long and it is classified as a class IV(V+) section by American Whitewater. The natural beauty of Colorado and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Gross Mountain Reservoir to Eldorado State Park stretch is just one of them. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Colorado tend to be more challenging than the national average, so don't forget that the rivers in this state
are less manageable. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The put-in location is a short drive from Boulder, there's a road map further down

There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is a pretty decent length section, good for a one day paddling trip. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that.
