The starting location is a reasonable drive from Fort Collins-Loveland, as you can see on the road map further down. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This section of Cache La Poudre River in Colorado is 8 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III-IV section. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of places for that. The rivers for whitewater
rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so better not forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up
quick. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. The beautiful Medicine Bow Mountains scenery is an added bonus.
