The wonderful Colorado scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The beautiful Medicine Bow Mountains scenery is an added bonus. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Colorado tend to be more challenging     than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. There's camping available near Cache La Poudre River. This section of Cache La Poudre River in Colorado is 3.4 miles long and has been rated as a class IV-V+ section by American Whitewater. This section is quite short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. The Narrows Picninc Ground to Steven's Gulch Access section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that.
