The beautiful scenery of Colorado and the water flowing gracefully down Cache La Poudre River have people coming here. The Poudre Park Picnic Gound to below Pine View Falls stretch of Cache La Poudre River is 2 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV section. This is a short paddling stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds
nearby. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Colorado are harder than the national norm, so don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. Whitewater paddling here in the Front Range is a great experience. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking
