This stretch of Cache La Poudre River in Colorado is 2 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III-IV section. The scenic beauty of Colorado and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. If you're coming from Fort Collins-Loveland it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. No
matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The beautiful Front Range scenery is an added bonus. The
sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Colorado are often more challenging than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. This is a pretty short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch.
