This stretch of Cache La Poudre River - North Fork is 9 miles long and it is classified as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. This river system is full of great paddling sections, the Cherokee Park Road to Halligan section is just one of them. The river winds through the Medicine Bow Mountains and you get great scenery. The campgrounds here at Cache La Poudre River - North Fork are pretty good. Getting some good     exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
