Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Colorado is often tougher than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. This section of Cache La Poudre River - South Fork in Larimer County is 12.5 miles long and has been rated as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. The nature scenery of Colorado and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. Since you're on

Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
