The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. The Green Bay Rock section of Clear Creek in Colorado is 5.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV-V(V+) section. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around here. The put-in location is a     short drive from Boulder, as you can see on the road map further down. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. The Green Bay Rock stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. No need to look hard for hotels, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Whitewater paddling here in the Front Range is a great experience. Briefly about the general area: Clear Creek gets a common amount of rainfall; April is the wettest month with most rain while October is typically the driest month. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Front Range. It's always magnificent to take a look at Charm Spring. Summertime   brings highs in the 80's to Clear Creek. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Clear Creek temperatures drop to the 10's. There's magnificent hiking along the Beaver Brook Trail, and nearby you locate great spots like Guy Gulch.
