The Green Bay Rock stretch of Clear Creek is 5.5 miles long and has been rated as a class IV-V(V+) section by American Whitewater. The starting location is a short drive from Boulder, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers
here are less forgiving. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some
time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. The Green Bay Rock section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. The wild scenery of the Front Range is great. The wonderful Clear Creek County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Clear Creek will make you feel great. On this section you do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip.
Briefly about the general area: There's glorious hiking along the Beaver Brook Trail, and you might also want to pay a visit to Guy Gulch if you're here at Clear Creek.
During the summertime months here at Clear Creek, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Clear Creek
are in the 10's. Clear Creek is a good location of common rainfall; April is the month that gets the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Front Range. Charm Spring is a beautiful place to have a look at while you're at Clear Creek.
