There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance
then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. The river winds through the Park Range and you get great scenery. You might be into
whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of places for that. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. The wonderful Colorado scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The starting location is a short drive from Edwards, as you can see on the road map further down.
