Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Pumphouse campground to Rancho Del Rio section is one of them. Briefly about the general area: All through the days of summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at Colorado River. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; winter   nights come with lows in the 0's to Colorado River.
