The Hanging Lake Exit 125 to Grizzly Creek stretch of Colorado River in Garfield County is 3.8 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV-V(V+) section. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. This     river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Hanging Lake Exit 125 to Grizzly Creek section is one of them. No shortage of good hotels, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This is a short paddling stretch so no need to bring snacks.
