The Loma launch to Westwater launch stretch of Colorado River in Colorado is 25 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II section of whitewater. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve
    in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The beautiful scenery of Mesa / Green County and the water flowing gracefully down Colorado River are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for
lots of people. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are not so many other good spots for that around here. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. The campgrounds here at Colorado River are pretty good.
