This section of Colorado River is 25 miles long and it is classified as a class II section by American Whitewater. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, |
so go ahead and pack your camp stove. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Colorado are harder than the national norm,
| so keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with not too many other places for that. There are plenty of other stretches | |
