On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. The     rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The river winds through the San Juan and Jemez Mountains and you get great scenery.
